FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of removing a portion of monochromatic linearly polarized laser radiation from the direction of propagation of the main stream includes directing the radiation flux to a light-splitting optical element mounted at an angle β to its direction, to reflect part of flow from its inclined surface. Reflected part of the flow with the help of an additional optical element installed with possibility of rotation and inclination in two mutually perpendicular planes is directed back to the beam splitting optical element for repeated reflection, wherein beam-splitting optical element is installed with possibility of rotation about axis, orthogonal to direction of propagation of main radiation flux with change of its installation angle β in range of 12°<β<Brewster angle.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities owing to varying the inclination angle of the optical element and changing the reflection coefficient.
