FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and relates to a method of reducing power losses of an input stream of polarized laser radiation in an absolute cryogenic radiometer with a Brewster input window. Method consists in that input stream of polarized laser radiation is directed at a given angle to longitudinal axis of receiving cavity of absolute cryogenic radiometer so that it initially falls on the conic surface of the receiving cavity of the absolute cryogenic radiometer near the base of its cone and at the same time the maximum possible number of reflections of laser radiation in the receiving cavity of the absolute cryogenic radiometer is provided. Thereafter, the spatial position of the polarization plane of the laser radiation is adjusted until minimum reflection of polarized laser radiation from the outer surface of the Brewster window is achieved.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of measurement accuracy of absolute power of laser radiation flux.
