SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an oral hygiene device (100) comprising longitudinal shaft (102), attached unit (112), handle (110), suspension system (106), at least one sensor (104a, 104b) configured to detect a value side force applied to attachment block, and at least one acceleration sensor configured to measure the gravity force applied to the attachable unit, at least one processor (132). Processor is configured to receive a force value applied to the attached unit, which is detected by at least sensors. Angle is also determined, under which the attached block is applied, wherein said angle is based on the detected force value. In one embodiment, the angle and magnitude of the force are displayed in the user interface to facilitate the user's improved oral hygiene technique. Also disclosed is a method of providing feedback to a user operating an oral hygiene device.
