SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and is intended for use in dentistry for root canal cleaning. Endodontic instrument for root canal cleaning following the natural geometry of said canal is made from a shape memory material, has a first, static, and a second dynamic state. First, static state corresponds to almost rectilinear geometry, which facilitates partial introduction of instrument into said root canal, and second, dynamic state corresponds to structured geometry providing flexibility and elasticity. Endodontic instrument is intended for rotation to clean inner walls of said root canal with observance of its natural geometry, wherein it includes a solid liner for attachment in a rotating support and a working portion for insertion into said root canal. In the dynamic state of the tool, the working portion consists of a first active and substantially straight-line portion, and at least a second active portion located in elongation of said first active portion, wherein said at least second active portion has a free end and a curved shape between a connection point to said first active portion and said free end. Tool is made from metal alloy with shape memory effect, transition of which from martensitic phase to austenitic phase occurs naturally at body temperature from 32 °C to 37 °C, wherein the tool is in its dynamic state at this temperature.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to accurately prepare the root canal irrespective of its morphological features due to the possibility of accurately following the channel profile.
