FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used in endodontics in retreatment of root canals. Method for extracting a fragment of an endodontic instrument from a root canal involves obtaining an X-ray image of the tooth, performing a computed tomography of the upper or lower jaw, and extracting a fragment of an endodontic instrument from the root canal. Tooth impression is taken and a plaster model is made, which is scanned with a laser, a digital image of the crown part of the tooth is obtained, the images of the tooth obtained by computed tomography and laser scanning are combined, as well as virtual modelling of a three-dimensional template, using computer program 3 dsMAX, a plastic template is made, the basis of which is fixed on three teeth. Template has a guide limiter, the hole direction of which coincides with the upper part of the broken tool fragment. Endodontic instrument is inserted into the hole of the template until it touches the bottom of the tooth cavity, the template is removed, and reciprocal instruments R25 with taper of 0.8 mm and R40 with taper of 0.6 mm are inserted and pass them through the root canal, performing the root canal preparation until the file enters the prepared space around the fragment. Under X-ray control with a manual flex file of size 25, a lumen of the root canal is found below the border of the fragment, the fragment is extracted with ultrasonic K-files 15, 20, 25, and the root canal is filled with restoration of the tooth with a composite filling material.
EFFECT: invention enables improving the quality of endodontic treatment and preserving the tooth.
