FIELD: waste processing and disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crushing of solid municipal wastes and can be used in garbage-processing industry. Device for reception and primary crushing of solid municipal wastes with bursting of packages contains support structure, drum equipped on the inner surface with fields of radially installed fixed knives, casing and drum drive. Drum is made in the form of a regular multifaceted prism fixed by its ends in cylindrical rims with possibility of their joint rotation. Knife fields are formed by rows along side ribs of the prism. Knives are made flat and have acute-angular shape. In order to ensure movement of wastes along drum, it is installed on support structure with slope of 3–10° towards discharge side.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of the device.
