FIELD: garbage treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an underground system for the collection and temporary storage of garbage (waste). The system has lifts for garbage containers. The invention also relates to a method for its disinfection by treatment with ozone or ozone and ultraviolet radiation. The underground garbage storage system contains a caisson in which a cage for garbage containers is installed which has the ability to move vertically by the cage movement mechanism and is formed by a force set connecting the horizontal lower platform of the cage with its upper platform which overlaps the inner part of the caisson when the cage is lowered to the extreme lower position. At least one hole is made in the upper platform above which a garbage bin is fixed. The system is equipped with at least one disinfectant that generates ozone for the disinfection and deodorization of garbage as well as for the disinfection of all internal surfaces of the caisson and the equipment located in it as well as the air inside the caisson to prevent the reproduction of harmful microorganisms. The disinfectant is installed in the casing on the upper platform with the possibility of vertical movement into the interior of the caisson and containers. In addition, the system can be equipped with forced exhaust ventilation equipped with ozone-free germicidal ultraviolet lamps installed at its entrance.
