FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a modified microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium producing putrescine, and a method of producing putrescine using said microorganism. Disclosed is a modified microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium, in which activity of N-acetylglutamate synthase from E. coli and acetylornithine deacetylase from E. coli is introduced into said microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium, having activity of acetylglutamate synthase or ornithine acetyltransferase (ArgJ). Also disclosed is a method of producing putrescine, involving culturing said modified microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium in a medium and recovering putrescine from the cultured microorganism or medium.
