FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents an isolated reovirus of birds, where the avian reovirus contains sigma-C protein containing an amino acid sequence characterized by at least approximately 99 % sequence identity with SEQ ID NO: 2. Invention also relates to a composition for inducing antibody production in poultry containing a reovirus according to the invention a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
EFFECT: invention provides protection of hens from diseases caused by such viruses.
