FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sensors for detecting leaks of hydrocarbon fluids. Gist: in the planar version, a sensor contains two conductors (1), made in the form of grids of metallic conductors or carbon fibers, connected to measuring instruments (2). Each of the grids is fixed on the corresponding surface of plate (4) of electrically conductive plastic, ensuring electrical contact with it. Plate (4) with grids fixed on its surface is placed in cover (3) of capillary-porous material. In the cable version, the sensor contains two conductors made of metal wires or twists of wires connected to the measuring instruments. Conductors are fixed without contacting each other in a sensor sheath of electrically conductive plastic. Sensor shell is located in a cover made of capillary-porous material.
EFFECT: expanding the functionality by ensuring invariance to the spatial orientation of the leak area, as well as improving noise immunity, sensitivity and performance in detecting leaks.
