FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antifriction coatings applied on glass containers, such as pharmaceutical packages, and concerns a coated pharmaceutical package. Described are antifriction coatings and glass articles with antifriction coatings. According to one embodiment, the coated glass article can include a glass body comprising a first surface and an antifriction coating disposed on at least a portion of the first surface of the glass body. Antifriction coating can include polymer chemical compound. Coated glass article can maintain thermal stability at a temperature of at least approximately 260 °C for 30 minutes. Light transmission through the coated glass article can be equal to or more than about 55 % of the light transmission through the uncoated glass article at a wavelength of about 400 nm to about 700 nm. Antifriction coating can exhibit weight loss of less than about 5 % of its weight when it is heated at temperature of 150–350 °C at a heating rate of approximately 10 °C/min.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of glass articles with antifriction coating, which have increased resistance to mechanical damages.
