FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of articles from composite materials, namely parts in the form of shells of revolution for power structures. Process of making articles from composite materials involves installation of initial material frame on rigid mandrel, arrangement of mandrel with carcass of material in binder filled with elastic diaphragm, located in hydroclave, and impregnation of material carcass with binder under action of working fluid pressure, transferred to material carcass surface through elastic diaphragm. At that, mandrel is used, which external surface through holes made in mandrel wall is interconnected with located inside the mandrel unions, equipped with shutoff valve, filling hydroclave with working fluid at required speed, opening shutoff valve, providing output of binder from frame, creating working fluid pressure of not more than 5 kgf/cm2 and material frame is held under action of this pressure for 10 minutes. Closing the shut-off valve, stopping the output of the binder from the material frame, releasing the pressure and pumping the working fluid from the hydroclave at a rate twice as large as during filling, opening the shut-off valve, providing output of the binder from the material frame, filling the hydroclave with working fluid at the same rate as during pumping, creating working fluid pressure of not more than 5 kgf/cm2. Shut-off valve is closed to terminate the output of the binder from the material carcass, reducing pressure and holding the material frame under hydrostatic pressure of liquid for 12 hours. After that, working fluid is pumped at the same rate as during the first pumping and the second filling, the shut-off valve is opened, providing the binder outlet from the material frame, and the material framework is held without pressure for 10 minutes and the mandrel is removed with the impregnated carcass of the material from the hydroclave. Use of the invention has confirmed the high quality of making parts from composite materials for power structures while ensuring the required manufacturability.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of quality of impregnation with binder layers of initial material adjacent to inner surface of material carcass.
