FIELD: environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection. As raw material for obtaining sorbent there used is ash-slag wastes accumulated at ash dumps under scheme of hydraulic ash removal. Ash-slag wastes are crushed to particle size of 0.25–0.5 mm and subjected to thermal treatment in two stages. At first step, heating is performed up to 110–120 °C and held at a given temperature for 30–35 minutes. At second step, heating is performed to 600–630 °C and held at said temperature for 40–45 minutes.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is possibility of obtaining oil product sorbent from wastes with increased sorption capacity.
