FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to optical engineering. Disclosed method is realized by a device for reducing laser beams of different wavelengths whose polarization states are orthogonal to one output beam. Polarizing beam splitter is combined in space with two beams in mutually orthogonal polarization states in one output, which is then transmitted through a spectrally selective Scholz polarization filter, made in the form of stack of mutually oriented by the angle plates of birefringent material, with preservation of quality parameter of laser beam M2 and formation of identical state of polarization of output beam for all its wavelengths.
EFFECT: providing for reduction of virtually unlimited number of separate laser beams into a common beam, while maintaining their polarization and spatial focusing.
