FIELD: laser technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser technology, to pulsed laser sources with Q-factor modulation. The laser source consists of a first opaque mirror and a second translucent mirror forming an open resonator, an active element and an acousto-optic shutter sequentially located on the optical axis of the resonator, a pumping device installed with the ability to focus its radiation in the active element, a two-channel high-frequency generator, while the acousto-optic shutter consists of a light and sound pipeline made of a monoclinic system crystal, having the first and second optical faces, perpendicular to the crystallographic axis of symmetry of the second order of the light and sound pipeline, the first and second acoustic faces parallel to the crystallographic axis of symmetry of the second order of the light and sound pipeline, on which the first and second shear piezo converters are located, respectively, having shear polarization orthogonal to the crystallographic axis of symmetry of the second order of the light and sound pipeline, and connected by high-frequency paths with the output channels of the generator.
