FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cytology, histology, and can be used for fluorescent cytochemical assessment of adrenoreactivity in erythrocytes. That is ensured by step-by-step treatment of peripheral blood smears of outbred rats. Method involves simultaneous fixation and staining of the smear in saturated 5 % alcoholic solution of alizarin red C. Preparations are then washed twice in distilled water followed by drying. Additionally, it is stained in 5 % water solution of potassium dichromate if necessary, repeatedly washed in distilled water. During treatment, additional fixation of blood smears is performed in formaline vapours. That is followed by microscopy of coloured or unpainted blood smears. Blood smears are examined under a fluorescent microscope provided the preparations are illuminated from above in the range of the absorption spectrum from 600–615 nm. 300 cells are examined in the smear. Mean cytochemical coefficient (MCC) is calculated in points. If the MCC < 1.2 value, the reduction of the erythrocyte adrenoreactivity is stated.

EFFECT: invention allows assessing erythrocyte adrenoreactivity in peripheral blood of animals.
