FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to colloidal chemistry and photochemistry and can be used for scientific research in optics, biology and medicine. Aqueous emulsion is formed by a hydrophobic substance (dimethoxynitrobenzyl ester of arachidonic acid). These substances under the effect of ultraviolet radiation quickly dissociate with formation of free arachidonic acid and a fluorescent product. Photodecomposition products accumulate inside drops, forming fluorescent microparticles. Aqueous emulsion based on dimethoxynitrobenzyl esters of arachidonic acid is obtained in volume ratio: 1 part of centimeter solution of ether in dimethylsulphoxide to 19 parts of water. Emulsion has photoactivated fluorescence. 4,5-dimethoxy-2-nitrobenzyl ether and 1-(4,5-dimethoxy-2-nitrophenyl)ethane-1-ol ester can be used as dimethoxynitrobenzyl ester of arachidonic acid.

EFFECT: increased fluorescence of drops by means of short-term ultraviolet radiation pulse.
