SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to control pests of harmful insects, particularly locusts. Locust killer device comprises a vehicle and a lifting and turning device with a strong hollow body with a concave mirror of a spherical shape. Hollow housing together with the mirror form a sealed volume. Concave mirror is made of elastic membrane with possibility of its focal distance adjustment. Destruction of locusts is carried out using above described device to increase temperature of its body to temperature of not less than 52 °C due to locust exposure to concentrated/focused solar energy flow.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of locust elimination.
