The device for trapping locusts comprises a light decoy, a receiver-socket, a collector of caught insects, an independent power source, a control unit and a microwave magnetron. The independent power source is used as a light-rechargeable battery and the controller of accumulator charge. The input of the control unit is connected to the sensors of the presence of insects, the presence of human, rain and light. The output of the control unit is connected to the light indicator, microwave magnetron, lightning discharger and earth conductor. The lightning discharger and earth conductor are connected to each other. The safety of operation of the device is ensured.
