FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric measuring equipment and can be used for contactless monitoring of parameters and diagnostics of technical state of AC equipment, the functioning of which consists of periodically repeating cycles. Summary: electrical equipment current curve with cyclic operation is divided into a number of intervals, each of which is characterized by a certain value of consumed current and shape of its signal. For the selected intervals, the current characteristic curves (Lissajous figures) are formed, which are compared with the predefined bank of reference characteristic curves of the good conditions of the object for each of the sections. If the deviation of the formed characteristic curve from the reference curve is fixed at one of the intervals, a fault is stated about the functional elements of the object involved in the given cycle interval. Deviation of formed characteristic curves from reference curves at all sections of the cycle indicates low quality of supply voltage, including failure of electric power source.

EFFECT: enlarging control capabilities, improving reliability, reducing the volume of operations, simplifying the device that implements the method.
