FIELD: ice-technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-breaking equipment, in particular, to performance of icebreaking works by air-cushion ships (ACS). Disclosed is method of ice cover destruction in shallow water, including simultaneous movement with resonant speed in one and the same direction of two ACS along ice edge, wherein the first vessel is moved along free water, and the second one – along the solid ice behind the first one at a distance from it, equal to quarter of the length of the resonant flexural-gravity wave (FGW). During movement at vessels periodically with frequency of resonance FGW fan-lifting complexes are switched off and switched on with a period of time equal to half the period of these waves.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice cover destruction due to interference of gravitational waves and FGW, excited by two vessels.
