FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in assessing functional state of deciduous plants, determined by their moisture provision, in real time to implement controlled irrigation, optimal for plant objects, regardless of soil type both in field conditions, and in greenhouses. Device for determining moisture content of deciduous plants comprises a laser or a light emitting in the wavelength range of 750…1,150 nm, which directs radiation to a plant sheet through a condenser to form a light spot, a first photodetector mounted on the axis of the specularly reflected component with the focusing lens, a second photodetector set by a sensitive surface in the focal point of the converging lens, which is located in the side surface of the hollow cylinder on the hemisphere formed by the reflected stream from the plant sheet, which propagates uniformly and in all directions inside measuring chamber, wherein electric outputs of first and second photodetectors are connected to information processing unit performing separation of mirror component of reflected flow by subtraction of diffuse radiation component from mixed reflected flow and calculating the reflection coefficient of the mirror component, based on which the moisture content of the plant is determined.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and field of application.
