SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, in particular to friction wedges of freight cars and to methods of their marking. Friction wedge comprises hollow body with holes in sidewalls, inner rib and on thrust platform. Drain hole on support platform is divided by inner rib into two parts. Seal clamp is secured around the inner rib of the wedge in the drain hole. Surface of seal with marked marking is arranged inside wedge case.

EFFECT: simplified identification of friction wedge.
