SUBSTANCE: device comprises a supply unit and a socket configured to receive a predetermined number of rod-like articles in the form of a predetermined group. At that, each rod-like article in the group has a predetermined position within the socket. The device also comprises a hopper with a plurality of blades, each blade is associated with at least one predetermined position in the socket. The supply unit comprises the first supplier configured to supply the first subgroup of articles of the first type to the first sub-set of hopper blades, the second supplier configured to supply the second subgroup of articles of the second type to the second sub-set of hopper blades, and the third supplier configured to supply the third subgroup of articles of the third type to the third sub-set of hopper blades. The first, the second and the third subgroups of articles represent the first, the second and the third parts of the given group. The second supplier is located between the first and third suppliers. At least the first type of articles differs from the second type of articles, and at least the second type of articles differs from the third type of articles. The invention also relates to a method for formation of a f rod-like articles group, to a container comprising the predetermined group of articles formed by the above-described device and method, and to application of a supply unit with three suppliers to supply the first and the second type of articles into a container with arrangement of the second type articles in the container between the first type articles.
