SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for inspecting rod-shaped articles, comprising: providing a first drum with a plurality of seats; providing at least one seat from the plurality of seats of the first drum with an inductive sensor comprising a coil; providing said at least one seat from the plurality of seats of the first drum with a rod-shaped article comprising a first current collector, wherein the first current collector comprises a conductive material; inserting said rod-like article into the coil of said inductive sensor; determining the maximum value or minimum value of the parametric function of the impedance of the coil during insertion of the rod-shaped article; rejection of said rod-like article based on said maximum value or said minimum value of said parametric impedance function.

EFFECT: faster detection of defects associated with current collectors of rod-shaped articles.
