FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting of elongated objects, for example, rods, bars or billets from aluminium at low pressure. Device for continuous and semi-continuous casting comprises frame structure with at least one mould (3), cavity of which is made with inlet (4) open and outlet with cooling means. Inlet (4) is connected to distributing chamber (5) for receiving liquid metal from container for its storage along channel or groove (6) for metal supply. Between chute (6) and distribution chamber (5) there is flexible chute (28). Frame structure with moulds (3) and distributing chamber can be lifted and lowered to provide complete filling of metal into moulds, control of metal level in cavity of mould relative to level of metal in chute and control of casting.
EFFECT: simplified design, improved safety and reliability.
