SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating article which comprises a plurality of segments assembled in the form of a rod, wherein a plurality of segments comprise an aerosol-forming substrate, and a mouthpiece filter located downstream of the aerosol-forming substrate inside the core, wherein the aerosol-generating article additionally contains from 0.005 to 0.1 mg of activated carbon located between the aerosol-forming substrate and the mouthpiece filter inside the core, wherein the activated carbon is connected to the elongated carbon support element in the form of a cord.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring freshness of aerosol generated by heating substrate without affecting filtration effect of product mouthpiece filter.
