FIELD: aerosol generation devices.
SUBSTANCE: product (10), generating an aerosol, for obtaining an inhaled aerosol when heated, contains: substrate rod (12) that generates an aerosol; mouthpiece segment (18), containing an insert of filter material and located in the direction of flow and aligned in the longitudinal direction with rod (12); and hollow tubular segment (16) between stem (12) and mouthpiece segment (18). Hollow tubular segment (16) is longitudinally aligned with stem (12) and mouthpiece segment (18) and forms a cavity extending along its entire length to the upstream end of mouthpiece segment (18). Product (10) further comprises ventilation zone (26) at a location along hollow tubular segment (16) at a distance of less than 18 millimetres from the upstream end of hollow tubular segment (16). The thickness of the peripheral wall of hollow tubular segment (16) is less than about 1.5 millimetres. Rod (12) of the aerosol generating substrate contains at least an aerosol generating agent, wherein the content of the aerosol generating agent in rod (12) is at least about 10% based on dry weight. The ventilation rate of the aerosol generation device is at least about 10 percent.
