FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to UHF measurement equipment and can be used to determine S-parameters of devices and electronic components in non-standard transmission lines and flat objects in free space. Method involves connection of two transitions by non-standard electrically long transmission line of length L and measurement of parameters , determination of reflection coefficients from coaxial connectors, connection of each transition with a section of a line with length L/2, forming chains a and b, short-circuited or open at the end, and measurement of reflection coefficients on side of coaxial connectors, determining parameters of chains a and b
and switching on the measured object between circuits a and b, measuring parameters of connection S11, S21, S12, S22 and determining parameters of object from ratios .
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring S-parameters.
