FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an automobile vehicle containing an emission reduction system which contains a trap of depleted nitrogen oxides, and more specifically to a method of adapting a strategy used for periodic purification of a trap of depleted nitrogen oxides from accumulated nitrogen oxides. Disclosed is a method for adaptive control of purification of a trap of depleted nitrogen oxides, in which, if the parameter indicating efficiency of purification is reduced to below the target one, the purification strategy is adapted by changing at least one of such values as the frequency of cleaning events, the duration of each of cleaning events, and enrichment of gases entering the depleted nitrogen oxides trap during the cleaning event, in order to restore the purification efficiency to the target level. In one example, parameter indicating efficiency of purification is value of conversion efficiency of nitrogen oxides upon completion of cleaning event.
EFFECT: technical result consists in maintenance of efficient cleaning of depleted nitrogen oxides trap (LNT).
