SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over automotive engines. In case the engine operation exhibits the first number of early timing, the first cylinder operation is adjusted in response to the sign of early timing in the first cylinder. In case the engine operation exhibits the second number of early timing, greater than the first one, the first and second cylinder operation is adjusted in response to the sign of early timing in the first cylinder. In compliance with the other version, fuel mix is enriched in response to the sign of early timing in the cylinder and the engine load limit is adjusted subject to the number of previous early timing cases. Said adjustment consists in increase in the engine load at the increase of early timing previous cases. Said early timing previous cases comprises those occurred in the engine and cylinder.
EFFECT: suppressed early timing.
