FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: engine intake air charge is diluted to the first level at operation at the first stoichiometric air-fuel mix. At superhigh exhaust gas temperature at the engine downstream section the engine intake air charge is diluted to the second level for enrichment of said air-fuel mix. Invention discloses the operation of claimed engine.
EFFECT: protection of exhaust system at transient processes at high loads.
