FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of coating on metal surface. Disclosed is a composition for applying a metal substrate containing a sol-gel and a corrosion inhibitor containing an azole compound in concentration of 0.01 g/liter of the sol-gel composition to 1 g/l of the sol-gel composition. Azole compound is 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1H-benzotriazole, 1H-1,2,3-triazole, 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole or 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-thiol, 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole and combinations thereof. Invention also discloses a coated article and a method for production thereof.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain coatings which impart corrosion resistance to metal substrate and provide required adhesion between metal and upper layers of coating.
