SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for applying to a metal substrate containing azole compounds. Disclosed is a composition for applying a conversion coating onto a metal substrate containing an azole compound in an amount of 0.0005 to 3 g/l, a lithium cation, a carbonate and an aqueous carrier. Composition for applying to a metal substrate containing a functionalised fluorinated binder and an azole compound, articles with coatings from said compositions and a method for manufacturing an article are also provided. Azole compound includes 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1H-benzotriazole, 1H-1,2,3-triazole, 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole and/or 2-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazole.
EFFECT: inventions are intended to ensure the corrosion resistance of metal surfaces.
