FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building and may and can be used for increasing of products operational resistance. Method of producing a wear-resistant boride coating on a steel part involves depositing an activator in the form of a flux P-0.66 and a charge with a boron-containing component and performing heat treatment. Part is placed on a heat-resistant ceramic gasket, the upper side of the part is heat treated at temperature of 1,200 °C for 5 minutes.
EFFECT: provides for reduced time for obtaining wear-resistant coating of parts, increased thickness of coating and reduced cost of thermal diffusion borating.
