FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and can be used in making luminescent materials or arrays for light-emitting diodes emitting light in the ultraviolet-visible and infrared ranges. Infrared phosphors based on orthoborate KSrY(BO3)2, doped with Er3+, the compositions of which correspond to chemical formula KSrY1-xErx(BO3)2 (0.01≤x≤1), is obtained by two-step solid-phase synthesis. First, a mixture of components is prepared: K2CO3, SrCO3, H3BO3, Y2O3 and Er2O3, taken in stoichiometric ratio. At the first stage, the obtained mixture is heated at 600-650 °C for 5-7 hours, and for the second – at 880-900 °C for 10-12 hours. Invention widens the range of luminophores having photoluminescent properties in the infrared region of the spectrum.
EFFECT: obtained phosphors are characterized by emission of 1,525-1,575 nm in the near infrared range when excited with a semiconductor laser with wavelength of 450 nm.
