SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to air purifiers and can be used for removal of various pollutants (for example, a new domestic filter for removal of formaldehyde). Air cleaner filter system (10) comprises air cleaner filter unit (12). Filtration unit (12) comprises machine-readable identifier (14). Identifier provides information relating to the type of the filtering unit, and information on characteristics inherent to the target contaminant from the plurality of different pollutants intended for filtration by means of filter unit (12) of the air purifier. Pollutants which can be filtered by means of a filter unit of the same type. Information on characteristics can be used to provide prompt regarding replacement of filter unit (12) of air cleaner based on type of filter unit and information on characteristics for use when the filter unit of the air purifier is used to filter the target contaminant. Air cleaner comprises fan (20), housing for filtering unit (12) of air cleaner, reading circuit (16) for reading machine-readable identifier (14) of filter unit (12) of air purifier or input for receiving information read from machine-readable identifier (14) of filter unit (12) of air cleaner. Besides, air cleaner comprises processor (18), which is configured to extract information from machine-readable identifier (14) relating to type of filter, and information regarding characteristics inherent to filtering unit (12) of air purifier target contaminant from plurality of different contaminants, which can be filtered by means of filtering unit of that type, and obtaining prompt regarding replacement of filter unit (12) of air cleaner based on type of filter unit and information on characteristics for use when filtering unit of air purifier is used for filtration of target contaminant. Method of controlling air cleaner includes reading machine-readable identifier of filter unit of air purifier. Identifier outputs information relating to type of filtering unit, and information on characteristics inherent to filtration unit (12) of air cleaner intended target for contaminant from a variety of different contaminants, which can be filtered by means of filter unit of that type. Control method also includes obtaining clues as to replacement of the filtering unit based on the type of the filtering unit and information on characteristics when the filter unit of the air purifier is used to filter the target contaminant.
EFFECT: group of inventions technical result is to provide a more accurate analysis of when to replace the filter so that the entire service life of the filter is used with advantage, reducing idle state, while ensuring preservation of characteristics of the air purifier.
