FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a simple method of producing avibactam. Piperidin-5-one-2S-carboxylate II as a starting substance is subjected to a condensation reaction with hydroxylamine hydrochloride containing a protective group for the O atom; obtained compound is subjected to reduction and chiral separation to obtain 5R-substituted oxyaminopiperidine-2S-carboxylic acid V under alkaline conditions; then compound of formula V is subjected to urea cyclisation, acyl chlorination and amidation using phosgene, solid phosgene or diphosgene using a "single-reactor" method, and then subjected to removal of protective group, sulphation and reaction formation of tetrabutylammonium salt to obtain (2S,5R)-2-carbamoyl-7-oxo-1,6-diazabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-6-yl]oxy}sulphonyl-tetra-n-butylammonium salt VII, and finally, the compound of formula VII is subjected to ion exchange to obtain avibactam I.

EFFECT: present invention is characterized by a simple scheme of obtaining, simple operation, cheap initial substances and low costs; fewer wastewater, waste gas and waste residues are discharged.
