FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an intermediate compound of formula II for producing avibactam, involving the following steps: (1) amidation, according to which compound of formula III is reacted with an amide of formula IV in solvent A selected from dichloroethane, tetrahydrofuran and methyltetrahydrofuran, and in the presence of base A selected from potassium carbonate and dibenzylamine to obtain a compound of formula V; (2) cyclisation of urea, according to which compound of formula V is reacted with a carbonylation reagent selected from triphosgene and diphosgene, in solvent B selected from dichloromethane and tetrahydrofuran, and in the presence of base B selected from triethylamine and tributylamine, with obtaining a compound of formula VI; (3) catalytic hydrogenation, according to which benzyl or substituted benzyl in compound of formula VI is removed in solvent C, which is a mixture of isopropanol and water, and in presence of base C, which is triethylamine, then obtained compound is sulphated with sulfur trioxide complex to obtain product; then converting the product to a tetrabutylammonium salt form to obtain a compound of formula II. In general formulas R is selected from a group consisting of ethyl, tert-butyl and benzyl; R' is selected from a group consisting of hydrogen, p-methoxy and p-methyl.
EFFECT: method of production is characterized by simple method, low cost, fewer by-products and high efficiency of reaction; obtained product (II) is characterized by high degree of purity and high output.
