FIELD: waste processing and disposal.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal recycling of medical wastes, including chlorine-containing and infected wastes. Unit is equipped with a wet scrubber, and the thermal decomposition chamber contains series-arranged low-temperature and high-temperature sections. Output of gaseous products from low-temperature section is connected to inlet into wet scrubber, outlet of which is connected to combustion chamber. Output of gaseous products from high-temperature section is connected with burner device of heating chamber and combustion chamber, and outlet of flue gases from combustion chamber is equipped with heat exchanger-gasifier. Heat exchanger-gasifier is equipped with an external gasification cavity, and its internal volume is equipped with a built-in steam generator, the outlet of which is connected to the inlet into the gasification cavity. Output of gaseous products from gasification cavity is connected through condenser of water vapors with generator of electric energy. Output of solid products from high-temperature section of thermal decomposition chamber is equipped with separator of inorganic inclusions and is connected to gasification cavity.

EFFECT: preventing the formation of dioxins (PCDD/F), providing environmentally safe emissions, saving energy, and providing autothermicity of the process, and, if necessary, obtaining its own agent for cleaning flue gases.
