FIELD: nuclear power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and can be used in processing organic radioactive wastes by thermal method. Complex plant comprises a transport system of radioactive wastes; waste accumulation tank; separation unit equipped with a system for separating radioactive wastes into separate phases; drying unit; vertical pyrolysis reactor combined with a storage bin and a unit for unloading coke residue into a container. Exhaust pyrolysis gases are fed for thermal decomposition into an afterburner. Produced flue gases are directed to a gas cleaning system consisting of a cooler, a heat exchanger and scrubbers. Coke residue formed during thermal decomposition of organic radioactive wastes is sent for conditioning.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce volumes of secondary wastes, to reduce energy losses and energy consumption during processing of organic radioactive wastes.
