FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic devices. Electronic mobile device comprises device mode control unit for switching of mobile device from first to second mode of operation. Orientation sensor is configured to measure the current orientation of the mobile device. Processor periodically receives the current orientation from the orientation sensor, stores the received current orientation as a reference one and calculates a differential angle between the current and stored reference orientation. Device switches from first to second operating mode if differential angle exceeds preset angular threshold value. Frequency of periodic reception and preservation of the current orientation as a reference orientation is lower than the frequency of said periodic reception of the current orientation, periodic calculation and periodical comparison of the differential angle.
EFFECT: technical result is wider range of means.
