FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in making additives in oils and lubricants. Modifying agents for graphene oxide are used – organic derivatives of amine with fatty groups in amount of 1–20 pts.wt. by 1 pts.wt graphene carbon. Said modifying agents used are vegetable oil monoethanolamide or octadecylamine in form of a melt or solution in industrial oil and mixed with an aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide to coagulation of graphene oxide. Obtained product is dried and thermally treated at temperature of 120–160 °C, resulting in graphene formation. If necessary unreacted modifying agent is extracted with organic solvent. Obtained modified graphene is well dispersed in nonpolar media, particularly in oils.

EFFECT: method is simple and does not require special equipment or expensive reagents.
