SUBSTANCE: floating block cover consists of sealed blocks made of thin sheet material and is installed on the bottom of a containment tray under the container. The sealed blocks are connected to each other by flexible connectors of adjustable size, and along the outer perimeter they are attached to the underlying surface with anchor ties having a length equal to the height of the pallet. Stabilizers are mounted on the underside of the sealed blocks, providing a gap between the underlying surface and the sealed blocks for the passage of liquid; the total area of the floating block covering is up to 95% of the area of the pallet.

EFFECT: rate and amount of evaporation are reduced by decreasing the exposed surface of the liquid in the event of an emergency spill from storage tanks, and the environmental friendliness is improved.
