FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and is a method for identifying a keel-resistant cruciferous plant, including the phenotype of a high content of oleic acid, a low content of linolenic acid (HO/LL), where the content of oleic acid is approximately 77 %, and the content of linolenic acid is approximately 3 %. Method involves the isolation of genomic DNA from keel-resistant cruciferous plants Brassica; screening of isolated genomic DNA for gene fad2, that encodes a polypeptide without delta-12-desaturase oleate activity, and a gene fad3, which encodes a polypeptide without delta-15-desaturase linoleate activity; and identification of cruciferous keel-resistant keel plants when these genes are detected fad2 and fad2 in genomic DNA.
EFFECT: invention provides an efficient method for identifying cruciferous keel-resistant keel plants.
