SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparation of fresh chlorophyll-containing herbal raw material for microscopic examination involving extraction of chlorophyll with ethanol with concentration of 96 %, wherein decolouring of herbal medicinal raw material is carried out in hermetically sealed container, so that plant fragments were hidden under a layer of ethanol ("to mirror"), small leaves, flowers are taken in integral form, large parts of the plant are partially milled by hands or scissors to the size required for the researcher, the chlorophyll extraction is carried out for 5–12 hours, placing the transverse section of petioles, stems, dense leathery leaves or a preparation of a leaf (flower, socket) is carried out from the surface of the analyzed object into a drop of chloral hydrate on a slide, microscopy is carried out using a light microscope.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of results of microscopic examination and the possibility of determining the authenticity of fresh chlorophyll-containing plant objects by microscopic analysis after their complete decolouring without the action of aggressive conditions and without using a multi-step and narrowly-controlled sample preparation process, specific equipment and hard-to-access reagents, while maintaining diagnostically significant anatomical structures in native form, with simultaneous preservation of the object.
