FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for contact spot welding of bar stock. Cap electrode holder is provided with two blind transversal channels for supplying refrigerant therein and connected to them by two oppositely arranged longitudinal channels. At front end has intermittent peripheral projections and continuous central protrusion. Holder is mounted in cap electrode cavity with abutment of said protrusions into its bottom and formation between protrusions of cooling paths that are connected to said longitudinal channels. Embodiments of invention disclose implementation of various cooling circuits for cap electrode.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing productivity of welding due to efficiency of cooling electrode-cap with diameter > 40 mm, which allows simultaneous formation of several weld points.
