FIELD: laboratory diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory diagnostics and can be used for fibrinogen detection during cytotassium plasma thermal coagulation and evaluation of its functionality. A method for determining fibrinogen in thermo-coagulation of citrate plasma and assessing its functionality, involving heat coagulation of citrate plasma by incubation for 5 min at 56 °C with subsequent photometric registration at wavelength of 450 nm, then calculating fibrinogen content by formula: FG (g/l)=ΔA450×5.29, where ΔA450 – change of optical density of sample during thermal coagulation of citrated plasma; 5.29 is the calculated conversion factor of change in the optical density of the test sample in g/l of fibrinogen, which is the ratio of protein in fibrinogen precipitate to change in optical density in the sample during thermal coagulation of plasma, calculating fibrinogen functionality as difference between fibrinogen values determined by this method and by Claus method, calculating difference in % and determining difference of more than 10 % as disturbed functionality of fibrinogen.

EFFECT: method described above is a simple, informative and specific test for determining fibrinogen and its functionality, enables wide screening and detecting people prone to thrombosis.
