Device has a module for determining frequency variation, which is configured to determine a frequency change for each frequency-time bin from a plurality of frequency-time bins of a spectrogram of the audio signal level depending on a spectrogram of the audio signal level. Besides, the device comprises a classifier configured to assign each frequency-time bin from a plurality of frequency-time beans to a group of signal components from two or more groups of signal components depending on a frequency change determined for said frequency-time bin.

EFFECT: device provides improved principles of audio signal processing.
