FIELD: printing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aqueous ink for jet printing on any surfaces with antibacterial protection. Water ink includes water and nanoparticle of composite material containing core and shell. Shell contains a polymer resin containing a metal ion, for example an ion of argentum, cobalt, copper, nickel, aurum, palladium and a combination thereof. Core comprises a polymer resin of a core, optionally containing a metal. Resin core of said nanoparticles can be selected from styrene, acrylate, styrene butadiene, styrene methacrylate. Ink can contain optional cosolvent and colorant.
EFFECT: method of printing said ink involves distributing ink droplets in the form of an image to an intermediate element for transferring an image or directly to a final substrate for receiving an image; wherein the composite material acts as a reservoir for delivering metal ions, for example, argentum, to provide an antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral biocidal effect.
